Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. Her first feature film appearance was in a minor part in The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody began her modeling career after the opportunity was offered by a hopeful photographer. She has since evolved into commercial modelling. Doody was extremely determined not to do glamorous or sexually explicit work. The rule was extended to the acting profession. In 1985, following getting noticed by the casting directors of a James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody's name was included within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising actors from 1986. 38. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she starred with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable role to date was as Austrian Nazi sympathizer and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors that have played James Bond. In the year 1991, Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal She went on to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody was part of The 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine was her character in a celebration in recognition of an award. In 2004, she appeared in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. in 2010 Doody was a character in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Then, she appeared on RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to appear in a remake in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way in 2014, a documentary. On 21 November 2018 she received the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and she received the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
